Nürburgring Racing Driver Ignores All Safety Precautions – 08 04 2017 Nordschleife VLN 2.

One of the most important rules in racing is: when your car breaks down,
or when you crash, stay in the car until marshals or a safety car has arrived!

Unless it is an absolute emergency to get out of the car,
(for example in case of a fire) you should always stick to this rule!

Even when double yellow is being waved, cars can still pass at reasonably high speed.

The following video shows a racing driver that (in my opinion) ignores all these
safety rules, when his BMW broke down during VLN race 2.

Not only does he exit his car at a very dangerous place, he also takes the time
to open the bonnet of his BMW to inspect what’s wrong.

If that wasn’t enough, he then decides to cross the track two times!
And if THAT wasn’t enough, finally he takes off his helmet and makes a phone call
while he is still standing at the racetrack, in front of the barriers!

Fortunately, this time there were no accidents.
But he has to thank all the marshals and safety crew for that!

Even though your first reaction is always to get out of the car,
THINK ABOUT YOUR SAFETY AND THAT OF OTHERS FIRST!
