Sub8 despite Phone Call | Golf GTi TCR | Sportauto Trackday NORDSCHLEIFE 2022 | Lonely Lap
One of the hottest days of 2022 and I was taking part in a trackday on Nürburgring Nordschleife. 😳😜 The air temperature was more than 30° C (in the shade!) and the track temperature was around 50° C (on Döttinger Höhe – the famous long straight of the Nürburgring Nordschleife).
The trackday is the (famous as well) 2 day event of our well known German Car-Magazine ‚Sportauto‘. It was the late afternoon of the 2nd day and I was in a longer stint of which you see one BtG lap here. I was nearly alone on track, so time for a Phone Call with my good friend Michael Wippermann/Brünnchen.
The only one I met was a Young Porsche Padawan in his 991 GT3 RS, still learning obviously, still at the beginning where we all once started. Hats off that this guy dares to bring a 250 K€ car to The Ring for learning. The Porsche appears shortly after the Phone Call.
